His ‘Rope’ represents those visible and invisible substances that constraint us in our modern life. The artist used the form of the terracotta army, to suggest that how tradition could also restraint today’s life.
By using the fine cut for the rope to achieve a realistic impression, the artist also uses this super-realism subject to create a strong contrast between the object itself with his spiritual concepts.
